Travel Diary- Republic of Mauritius

What to do in Mauritius
Filled with sprawling white beaches and some of the most unbelievable sunsets you will see, it's no wonder Mauritius is a honeymooners dream come true (except I was definitely not there on my honeymoon, more like an escape real life get-away)!

Things to do when on island:
1. Explore the beautiful beaches
2. Explore Chamarel (Seven Colored Earths, waterfalls, rum tasting)
3. Try some fun local water sports
4. Immerse yourself in the vast number of cultures on the island (World's largest shiva statue, Hindu God's at Grand Basin)
5. Sugar cane fields and tea plantations
6. Lay on the beach with a good cocktail, a great book and soak in the beauty that surrounds you!
....oh and the passion fruit is TO DIE FOR!

A Clean Slate

I started this blog back in 2009 and unfortunately due to life getting in the way and my previous career, I have not kept up with blogging, to my dismay, but do not fret I am back! As I set out to draw inspiration for this blog, I cannot help but reminisce on all of my recent travels, which have provided insight, knowledge, experience and most of all wanderlust.  This blog will chronicle my travels, my style, my photography and my life, encompassing all the crazy, hard-to-believe things that actually happen to me. Here is to much more travel and inspiration in the coming years, months and days!

The Dog Days are over

The end of summer is bitter sweet. Happy for fall, but sad the days of warm weather and outdoor dining are over. Until next year 80 degree weather...

Desperately need to start shooting again, but looking for inspiration in this world full of lies and deceipt and is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

A quote i see spray painted on a garage door when i take the bus home up the Bowery
"Been down, down so long, looks like up, up to me."

St. John, USVI

Camping has a whole new meaning. From Maho Bay to Ivans on Jost Van Dyke, we had a totally unique experience of St. John. I knew this trip was going to be amazing and hysterical and I still say we should have had a camera crew following us around. Well, Brett and her flip cam might have sufficed, if only I can get that LOST footage. Needless to say, we had an amazing trip courtesy of our very own survivor man, Jeremy.
