Filled with sprawling white beaches and some of the most unbelievable sunsets you will see, it's no wonder Mauritius is a honeymooners dream come true (except I was definitely not there on my honeymoon, more like an escape real life get-away)!
Things to do when on island:
1. Explore the beautiful beaches
2. Explore Chamarel (Seven Colored Earths, waterfalls, rum tasting)
3. Try some fun local water sports
4. Immerse yourself in the vast number of cultures on the island (World's largest shiva statue, Hindu God's at Grand Basin)
5. Sugar cane fields and tea plantations
6. Lay on the beach with a good cocktail, a great book and soak in the beauty that surrounds you!
....oh and the passion fruit is TO DIE FOR!
